Claims Officer
Cooperate in the review and investigation of client inquiries, and provides the requests information or clarification
Receive the claims for his assigned area of responsibility.
Input the details and information of the claims into the computer system. Segregate the claims that the computer system identifies erroneous or missing needed information.
Receive and process the claims as per area of assignment, Includes authorization checks, compliance with approved policies. Checks and approves the preparation of lists, related to the received claims prior submittal to supervisor for approval and dispatch.
Submit the non-accepted claims to the Supervisor according to his assignment.
Prepare the required reports and statistics.
Protect the assigned system through the approved back-up, security, and protection.
Comply with established procedures and work instruction.
Propose work procedures and revision of procedures to improve and control the processing of claims. Includes their registration, data inputs, data protection and processing.
Prepare Explanation of Benefits and the cash collection order and other reports as per procedures prior submittal to the supervisor for approval and action.
Assure proper filing and storage of correspondence, references and information related to his area of responsibility.
Ensure that the claim notice is closed by the end of each month.
Perform similar or related duties upon request of his supervisor.
