Background of Al Aqsa Club
Al-Aqsa Club is non-governmental organization founded on 1993 in Al Nussirate - Gaza Middle by group of youth who believe in justice and freedom to response to high needs for Social and cultural activities to children and Youth as it is the Only Club in Al Nussirate serving about 50,000 Youth and children. In 2003 Al Aqsa club developed their activities to serve as grass roots organization working in emergency, early recovery, and development, in the meantime its worth mentioning that more than 60% benefited from Al -Aqsa activities are women and girls in addition to children .
Accountability and transparency is the main pillar in our work, community participation/mobilization, advocacy, and lobbying for hunger and poverty is our main mandate.
Al Aqsa Sport club is seeking to hire 5 Community Mobilizers under the project
Start date: April 2017
Contract Duration: 12 months
Project’s Localities: (West Nussirate, Al Mogaragah, Wadi Gaza, Joher Al Deek, and Al Musader)
Reporting to: Programme Officer
2nd Line manager: Programme Coordinator
Key Responsibilities:
The Community Mobilizers supports the Programme Officer on the administrative part of coordination tasks, ensuring the relation with all local stakeholders, through:
Assisting the Programme Officer in updating and analyzing the humanitarian context in the field
Assisting the Programme Officer on external and internal communications, meetings
Facilitating contacts with local authorities
Security follow-up: monitor and report regularly on key issues to the Programme Officer and assist him/her in the analysis of information
Ensure regular communication with Women, Youth, and Community Protection Committees groups
Assist the Programme Officer in information sessions with right’s holders
Inform the Programme Officer on regular basis on the project activities and participate in coordination meetings.
Eligible applicants are required to have the following qualifications and
skills:
A bachelor degree in social sciences, or related subject
Computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word
Good knowledge in the Middle area localities (West Nussirate, Joher Al Deek, Al Musader, Al Mogaragh & Wadi Gaza)
Good knowledge in the facilitation and coordination of workshops, and training sessions
Good personal, communication and team work coordination skills
One year experience working in the field work, it will be best if the experience in Middle area field work
