Job Title: Community Mobilizer

Start Date: ASAP
Scope of Work:
-Organize events and activities involving clients with mental illness and/or their family members in partnership with select organizations.
-Oversee and coordinate educational and recreational activities as well as lectures and other events.
-Oversee and supervise teams of facilitators.
-Develop advocacy and aid in the development of promotional and educational material.
-Facilitate community involvement and social inclusion.
-Activities include but are not limited to purposeful community involvement (e.g. volunteering, community projects, creative expression), training (e.g. parenting), recreational workshops (e.g. photography), recreational activities (e.g. shared meals, cooking, going to the beach), as well as mental health advocacy events and lectures.
-Support clients and families in organizing their own networks and activities.
-Consult and collaborate with other organizations and agencies
-Attend weekly training and supervision sessions
-Participate in training and coordination meetings with IMC and other organizations as required
-Develop knowledge base and proficiency in client and family support and rehabilitation activities
-Assist with duties at rehabilitation center (serving individuals with mental health problems) such as organization of trainings, lectures, and events.
-Submit regular reports on cumulative data and indicators to IMC M&E Officer
Deliverables:
-Organization of workshops, trainings, and events
-Weekly reports of all activities and client outcomes
-Regular reports of client and family feedback
Minimum Qualifications:
-Bachelor degree in Social Work or Psychology and or 2-year Diploma in mental health
-At least 2 years of progressive experience in working with individuals suffering from mental illness.
-Experience on community work
-Excellent relationships with community and various community organizations
Skills:
-Experience in teaching or training
-Flexibility and high motivation to learn
-Strong commitment to serving individuals with mental illness
