We specialize in developing affordable, open-source solutions to enhance accessibility and improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. From 3D-printed prosthetics to assistive devices and beyond, we're on a mission to empower individuals of all abilities.

Role Overview: As the Community Outreach Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our reach and impact within the community. You will be responsible for developing and implementing outreach strategies to engage with various stakeholders, including individuals with disabilities, their families, local organizations, educational institutions, and beyond. Your primary goal will be to raise awareness of our initiatives, foster partnerships, and facilitate collaboration to drive meaningful change.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute outreach plans to connect with target audiences and promote awareness of our makerspace's mission and services
• Foster a vibrant and inclusive community within the Makerspace by organizing networking events, hackathons, product assembly workshops, and collaborative projects
• Updating and maintaining our database, emphasizing precision in recording member information, and tracking engagement metrics
• Harness content management systems, social media platforms, web analytics tools, and digital marketing strategies to assist in creating compelling digital content.
• Play a vital role in developing engaging materials for our social media channels, ensuring they resonate with our target audience.
• Establish and nurture relationships with community partners, including disability advocacy groups, schools, Universities, Specialized clubs, healthcare providers, government agencies and potential donors.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities for innovation and development of new solutions tailored to the needs of individuals with disabilities
• Collect feedback and insights from community members to inform program improvements and enhance overall effectiveness
• Develop a concrete plan to increase Makers` product distribution channels

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Community Development, Disability Studies, Social Work, Public Relations)
• Demonstrated experience in community outreach, partnership development, or related roles
• Passion for disability advocacy and a strong commitment to promoting inclusivity and accessibility
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse audiences effectively
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent Arabic and English skills (Speaking, Writing, and reading)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Proficiency in design programs like Canva
• Project Management skills
• Passion for open-source principles, and community-driven innovation
• Ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Experience working in a Makerspace, Fablabs or similar environment is a plus
