AMIDEAST, an international non-profit organization in the West Bank and Gaza, is seeking full-time qualified candidate for its USAID funded education program-Model Schools Network (MSN) Program. AMIDEAST is recruiting for the position of Community Outreach & Training Coordinator to be based in its office in Nablus:
Community Outreach & Training Coordinator
The Community Outreach & Training Coordinator for the USAID-funded, AMIDEAST-administered Model Schools Network Program will receive general supervision, administrative guidance from the MSN Professional Development Specialist, and the MSN Community Outreach Specialist. The COT coordinator will report to the Deputy Chief of Party.
Immediate Supervisor: Deputy Chief of party
Specifically, the position is responsible for the following duties:
-Establish professional relations with the MOEHE staff in Northern West Bank districts including teachers, principals at the participating schools and MSN staff.
-Oversee and ensure the proper implementation of the Professional Development (PD) and community outreach (CO) activities in Nablus and Jenin.
-Insure proper management of all financial aspects relevant to the implementation of the activities.
-Submit monthly reports covering all PD and CO activities implemented during the period.
-Being responsible for planning and implementing PD and CO in participating schools and among students.
-Coordinate with the procurement department regarding contracting suppliers in Nablus and Jenin.
-Guide and oversee the work of the program assistant.
-Maintain a good filing system of MSN activities.
Minimum Qualifications and Required Skills:
-Bachelor Degree in Social science, Administration or a related field. Master degree is preferable.
-3-5 years experience in donor funded projects.
-Fluency in Arabic and English language.
-Experience working with USAID projects
-Experience working with Government institutions, good knowledge of education system at the public schools is preferable.
-Good communication skills.
-Good computer skills.
-Ability to work under pressure.
