International Medical Corps is working to relieve the suffering of those impacted by war, natural disaster and disease by delivering vital health care services that focus on training, helping devastated populations return to self-reliance.
The USAID Gaza 2020: Health Matters project is designed to improve emergency preparedness and response (EPR), and to improve access and availability of quality primary and secondary health care by building the capacity of NGOs and community-based organizations (CBO) in Gaza and the West Bank. International Medical Corps (IMC) and its partners, Cooperative for Assistance and Relief Everywhere, Inc. (CARE), Juzoor for Health and Social Development (Juzoor), and Mercy Corps, (the Consortium) bring together various components necessary to create a holistic system that is gender sensitive and responsive to crisis and to the needs of residents of Gaza and West Bank, including vulnerable populations.
International Medical corps is currently looking for Compliance Assistant:
Scope of Work:
Primarily responsible for management of an electronic and/or paper-based filing system of compliance department’s internal and external reports as required.
Primarily responsible for providing any administrative support to the Compliance Department.
Liaise with the organization field departments to obtain required information/supporting documents as needed.
Assist in carrying out quarterly compliance reviews for the Gaza 2020: Health Matters sub-partners according to the established timelines to review compliance with IMC and USAID policies and procedures and host government regulations.
Assist with the production of compliance reports including findings and recommendations of each compliance review conducted.
As scheduled, assists in monitoring and tracking implementation of corrective and preventive action per follow-up recommendations of internal reviews.
Participate in Compliance Kick Off meetings with Gaza 2020: Health Matters’ sub-partners.
As requested, provides support to Project staff on policy and procedure compliance issues.
Assist project management educate staff on issues of ethics, the IMC Code of Conduct and the use of the corporate Whistleblower Hotline.
Help brief new project staff on IMC rules and regulations and the USAID West Bank/Gaza Mission Order 21.
Assist in the development and delivery of trainings (e.g. USAID West Bank/Gaza Mission Order 21 training) to the Project staff.
Assist external auditors only as requested
Perform other related duties as assigned and agreed upon.

Qualifications and Skills :
Bachelor’s Degree in finance, business administration, accounting, or related field required.
At least 1 - 3 years’ relevant experience working as a compliance assistant or related field, with at least half of those working on USAID projects (preferable)
Fluency in oral and written English and Arabic required.
Excellent interpersonal communications and organizational skills.
Excellent computer skills, computer software programs, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
A proactive individual who works well under pressure while acting as an integral part of a diverse and multi-skilled Compliance Team.
Adaptable and able to manage multiple tasks within a high pressured environment, including working to deadlines.
Analytically minded.
