Position: Compliance & Risk Management Officer 

Type: Full-time, On-site 

Location:  Gaza, Palestine 

Salary: ILS 107,700 

Reporting to: Deputy Director – Finance & Operations 

Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is a leading UK charity dedicated to improving the health and dignity of Palestinians affected by conflict, occupation, and displacement. With a focus on the occupied Palestinian territory and Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, we provide vital health and medical care to those in need, particularly in crisis zones like Gaza. As part of our commitment to meeting the growing needs of the communities we serve, we're expanding our team. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with due diligence policies and regulatory requirements, conducting comprehensive risk assessments, and overseeing due diligence processes for potential partners and vendors. This role includes monitoring organizational risks, preparing detailed reports, and recommending mitigation strategies. Additionally, the successful candidate will ensure all activities comply with internal and external regulations, maintain comprehensive compliance records, and provide training and support on due diligence and risk management.

We're looking for someone with extensive years in compliance and risk management, with strong understanding of due diligence processes and UK charity regulations. The ideal candidate should have proficiency in using risk management and compliance software tools. Essential skills include strong communication and analytical skills, proficiency in English and Arabic, advanced computer skills, and the ability to collaborate with various teams and departments across the organization.
