External Evaluator for the Enhancing Palestinian Women’s participation in Political and Public life – Year 1
The Association of Women Committees for Social work is a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded in 1981 and registered with the Ministry of Interior Affairs. Its programs aim to improve the social, educational, economic and political opportunities of women to attain gender-equality in a democratic Palestinian society.
The Association of Women Committees for Social Work in cooperation with the UN women -Fund for Gender Equality is implementing a two-year program Enhancing Palestinian Women’s participation in Political and Public life. The program seeks to enhance women’s public and political participation beyond elections in 10 communities in the Ramallah and Jenin districts. AWCSW works closely with local elected women, young women activists and multiple stakeholders to create social and policy changes and to establish a model for effective women’s representation on the local level so that new quota measures translate into tangible results for Palestinian women.
AWCSW is now seeking an experienced external evaluation agency, to prepare a comprehensive, evidence-based formative evaluation of the Enhancing Palestinian Women’s participation in Political and Public life Program. A detailed evaluation plan to serve as a framework for the evaluation process has been developed.
