Consultant for Developing New ICT Components
Introduction:
An-Najah National University (NNU) has received a grant from the Quality Improvement Fund (QIF)
– Ministry of Education and Higher Education, funded by the World Bank for the project entitled:
Language Arts Pre-service Teacher Education Development Program. The grant aims to develop
the Language Arts Pre-service Teacher Education Program and build the capacity of English
Language Faculty members in the Colleges of Education at An-Najah National University, Al-Quds
University, Hebron University, and all the TEIs in Palestine in conjunction with an international
consultant institution. Accordingly, An-Najah National University intends to utilize part of this grant
for the employment of a highly qualified consultant who will be responsible for developing new ICT
components for courses in the Language Arts Pre-service Teacher Education Program.

Assignment Objective:
An-Najah National University is seeking a highly qualified consultant to develop new ICT components for courses in the Language Arts Pre-service Teacher Education Program.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
1-Identify E-Learning resources to enrich the learning material for selected courses.
2-Develop ICT components for selected courses, which support identified learning objectives.
3-Integrate ICT components within the selected courses to promote a blended learning strategy.
4-Coordinate with the international consultant about every process of developing the E-learning
material.

Qualifications & Skills:
1-A Masters Degree from an accredited university in Educational Technology, TESOL or another
related field.
2-Minimum of five years professional experience in teacher training and education.
3-Good experience in E-Learning and proven record of developing E-Learning courses.
4-Excellent communication and networking skills.
5-Excellent reporting and formal writing skills in both English and Arabic.
6-Excellent technical, interpersonal and administrative skills.
7-Excellent knowledge of Teacher Education Strategy in Palestine.

Time-frame:
The duration of the assignment is three months.

Deliverables:
1-ICT components for selected courses are designed that support identified learning objectives.
2-E-learning materials for selected courses are designed, approved and submitted.

Contract Type:
Lump- Sum.
