The Youth Development Department, following the Orient House and Arab Studies Society was established in June 2000 as an initiative supported by the late Mr. Faisal Husseini), in order to support and protect the Palestinian institutions in Jerusalem, The YDD is a non-governmental non-profit organization founded to work with a development perspective, and to work as a professional and technical umbrella for the Youth sector in Jerusalem, with and through the existing youth bodies in Jerusalem.

Save the Children and the YDD are currently undertaking the EU Funded Promoting Healthy Youth Development Project and implementing the Project’s activities in partnership with Community Based Organizations, respectively: Youth Club (Shufat Camp), Women enter (Shufat Camp), Jerusalem Club (Old City), and Bethany Charitable Association in Bethany

Save the Children and YDD are seeking the services of a specialized consulting firm to support Save the Children oPt Country Office and its key partners working in the Project to compile and develop a Drug Awareness and Prevention Manual as well as training material.
