Location: Ramallah
Partners for Sustainable Development (PSD) is a Palestinian nonprofit organization established in 2009 with the aim of equipping Palestinian youth with the skills and knowledge required by an increasingly complex and demanding 21st century, to enable them to compete and thrive within a global society. PSD has implemented tens of programs within the West Bank that have unleashed the potential of communities, by supporting their grass roots activities and social enterprises, with a focus on formal and informal education, ICT, youth empowerment through service learning, employability programs, and social entrepreneurship.
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Content Development Officer will provide insights in the development and day-to-day management of content development and implementation of activities in the NETKETABi Project and the PSD’s programs and activities.
TASKS
Provide overall supervision and leadership in the design, management, and implementation of content development related assignments and activities;
Maintain relationships with donors and partners for all content development related work, where s/he will ensure regular reporting and sharing of information and updates with the component’s partners;
Develop the content development implementation plan, branding and marketing plan, and component indicators, and measurement and evaluation methods;
Represent PSD’s projects in local, regional and international content related forums where s/he should be able to discuss technical solution alternatives and different approaches to process cost benefit analysis in content development and E-learning;
Bring continuous process improvement towards increasing quality and building new skills sets within the organization;
Provide analytic insights and regular report to the CEO;
Be able to work with internal and/or external teams and partners to deliver on key project metrics;
Ability to identify critical information in business context and organize it in a manner that makes sense to the broad user group, web or UI design.
QUALIFICATIONS
3-5 years of experience managing education projects in a multi donor environment. Strong familiarity with recognized E-learning technical standards.
Experience with the use of content management systems and E-learning management systems.
Excellent spoken and communication skills in Arabic and English Language.
Sound knowledge of the use of Web technology, technical aptitude, and problem solving skills.
Proficient computer skills (MS office, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Adobe Web Premiums CS3 or above, etc.)
Proven ability to handle high-volumes of work and manage multiple projects within tight and sometime shifting deadlines
BA or MA in Education, Information Technology or any related social science degree. BA or MA in Education and Information Technology is preferred.
