JOB SUMMARY

As a Content Writer and Editor on our communications team, you will be a key contributor to creating, editing, and proofreading written English materials essential for communicating the BREB story to the project’s stakeholders. This role demands a skilled English writer, editor, and proofreader with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering clear, accurate, and impactful content.

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES  

The Content Writer and Editor will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Draft progress and impact reports alongside the project technical teams and communications officer.
  • Draft, review, and edit written materials for grammar, clarity, consistency, compelling storytelling, and adherence to project standards.
  • Develop engaging, informative, and high-quality content for various project communications, reports, and presentations.
  • Assist in drafting presentations for project stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project goals and messaging.
  • Collaborate with team leads and project stakeholders to gather information and insights for accurate and comprehensive content creation.
  • Ensure all written materials adhere to USAID/BREB guidelines, standards, and deadlines.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in business research and evaluation.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to enhance the overall quality and impact of BREB written materials.
  • Adapt writing style to different target audiences in Palestine partners, MEPPA partners, and USAID, maintaining professionalism and clarity.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a content calendar to ensure timely delivery of materials.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1 -3 years of experience in similar positions.
  • Bilingual English proficiency is required, with proficiency in Arabic desired but not essential.
  • Strong writing skills, with demonstrated ability to draft succinct, active, and compelling text.
  • Previous experience in technical and/or progress report writing is desired but not essential.
  • Previous USAID or other international donor experience preferred.
REPORTING AND SUPERVISION
The Content Writer and Editor will report to the Communications Officer.
LEVEL OF EFFORT and PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE  
This position is long-term, on a full-time basis.
LOCATION OF ASSIGNMENT
This position is based in Ramallah, Palestine. While physical location in Ramallah is preferred, BREB will consider remote work possibilities.
