Corporate Services Support Officer
Job Description
The British Consulate General in Jerusalem is seeking an individual for the position of Corporate Services Support Officer starting in September 2012.
Purpose of the job:
Provide support to the Corporate Services functions, including Estates, HR, Accounts and Administration.
Duties and responsibilities:
-To assist the Corporate Services in a wide range of activities including maintenance, inspections, administration, furniture & furnishings, HR induction, training and accounts support.
-To provide support to the Estates Manager on Health and Safety requirements. Complete returns periodically in relation to the water quality maintenance and water tests for the accommodations.
-To ensure that transport and vehicles are managed properly to meet BCG requirements. Ensure that vehicles are serviced properly.
-To liaise with the Municipality of Jerusalem on municipal issues.
-To manage and update the inventories of furniture and furnishings, disposal and sale of furniture. Log in and keep records of utility bills for residential accommodations and offices.
-To create requisitions for the budget approvers for all estate and management procured goods and services,ensuring accuracy of budget codes and charging instructions used. Back up receiving of goods and services.
-To assist in getting quotations and purchasing of stationery and uniform.
-Office machinery responsibility.
-To assist the Corporate Services in arranging two Queen’s Birthday Party receptions held annually in June.
-Back up Receptionist. Line management of the Transport Supervisor.
-Filing for the Corporate Services Section.
Essential Skills:
-3 years of experience in a similar role
-Excellent written and spoken English, Arabic and Hebrew
-Fully conversant with Microsoft Office (word, excel, outlook and data entries)
-Excellent communications skills and flexible team player
-High level of organisational skills and ability to multi tasking and work under pressure.
