Credit Officer

Islamic Relief is a humanitarian NGO operating in Palestine in the fields of emergency relief and long-term development. Islamic Relief announces the following vacancy for its office in Gaza.

Title: Credit Officer
Ref: D-03-2010
Location: Khanyounis and Refah Governorate.
Duration: 10 months (full time) - Renewable

Main Responsibilities:
-Promote Murabaha programme to the target group. that help making the financing decision.
-To analyze and recommend on the feasibility of the required micro-project.
-To follow up the financed micro-projects and keep good contacts with the borrowers.
-To do all efforts to acheive full repayment ratio per month.
-To participate in providing non financial services and advices to the borrowers regarding their micro-projects.
-To submit periodically reports, about his activities including any obstacles or problems.

Candidates must posses the following competencies:
-A university degree in related field .
-Minimum of three years experience in working for an international NGO in related field.
-Experience of designing, keeping and working with accurate computerized data and manual records and books is essential.
-Broad knowledge and understanding of Islamic principles as they apply to development issues.
-Good knowledge in English language.
-Exceptional communication skills
-Diplomacy, tact & negotiation skills
-Report writing skills
