Criminal Justice Advisor
Tetra Tech DPK is implementing the Justice Sector Assistance Project (JSAP) III under a contract funded by the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL). JSAP III supports the Public Prosecution Offices (PPOs), the Palestinian Civil Police (PCP) and the Military Justice Commission across the West Bank.
JSAP III is seeking to hire qualified personnel to fill the following positions:
Criminal Justice Advisor
Criminal Justice Advisor will be responsible for ensuring effective and efficient technical programming to the Justice Sector Assistance Project (JSAP III) in the areas of Criminal Justice and Legal activities. The candidate should have a high level of expertise in criminal justice and police prosecuting. Primary tasks of the Criminal Justice Advisor include:
-Ability to advise and supervise the Police and Prosecution Field Coordinators as they perform their functions in regard to their respective institutions.
-Perform fact finding, research analysis, and interpretation of factual data in the field of criminal justice, prosecuting and police investigations, as well as the planning and implementing of project activities that are designed to reach the project’s objectives.
-Develop strategies to improve inter-institutional strategies for justice sector counterparts to improve efficiency and help further professionalize justice sector work functions
-Draft reports and technical products to be used in deliverables such as manuals, research papers, and assessments.
-Organize and plan training in the areas of criminal investigation and police and prosecutor tasking.
-Provide information and analysis of activities for the Performance Monitoring Plan.
Candidates should meet the following minimum requirements:
-Hold a Bachelor’s degree in law or business administration, developmental studies or related area.
-Minimum five years of experience working with international development projects particularly in criminal justice reform.
-Excellent oral and written communication and translation skills in both English and Arabic.
-Ability to work within a team and under pressure.
-Highly motivated and self-directed with history of flexibility and taking initiative to solve problems.
-Strong communication skills, report writing and performance/quality control is also required.
-Ability to lead, influence and reach program targets through successful deliverables.
-Management skills, excellent decision making, organization and utmost professionalism.
-Ability to travel across the West Bank.
