DAI
Primary Job Responsibilities
1. Prepare payment vouchers and record all financial transactions in Field Accounting System.
2. Follow financial procedures and ensure internal control measures area applied for the DAI Palestine office and related projects.
3. Prepare budget vs. actual reports on a monthly basis and as required by management.
4. Prepare and disburse salaries to local project staff and ensure income tax is deducted from salaries based on the Palestinian Authority applicable law. Ensure that salary is disbursed to all employees on schedule.
5. File all salary information according to outlined filling procedures and keep salary related information strictly confidential.
6. Review employee reimbursable expense reports such as travel vouchers according to corporate applied travel policy.
7. Ensure that all reports and requirements are met within the deadline set by DAI and the client.
8. Prepare monthly invoices to be reviewed and submitted to clients.
9. Conduct/review physical count of fixed assets for projects and for the Palestine office and maintain appropriate documentation for all fixed assets purchases.
10. When applicable, manage taxes and VAT for projects, prepare and submit monthly VAT reports to clients and handle the relationship with the authorities.
Key Qualifications & Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in the field of Accounting
• At least 2-3 years of experience in the related field required.
• Good knowledge of accounting software
• Willing to learn and work as part of a team
• Fluent English and Arabic required (speaking, reading and writing)
• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Suite

RECRUITMENT FOR ACCOUNTANT
DAI, an international consulting firm based in Washington, D.C., and with its regional office “DAI-Palestine” is seeking an Accountant. The Accountant will manage all transactions related to the Palestine Office. He/she will ensure that the outlined financial policies and procedures are implemented and followed in the assigned area. The Accountant will be responsible for preparing and completing accurate field reports related to corporate and project activities on a monthly or bi monthly basis. He/she will be responsible for all field office financial activities and will provide support in other areas as necessary as well as maintaining a positive working relationship with the DAI Home Office staff and with DAI Branches around the world.
