Job Description

AWRAD (Arab World for Research and Development) is seeking to employ a competent data expert/analyst.

Responsibilities

Data management, cleaning, analysis and visualization;

Development of social methodology and statistical techniques;

Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques;

Developing and implementing data analysis;

Developing and implementing data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality;

Monitor performance of data collection and quality control procedures and identify improvements;

Draft analytical statistical reports.

Job Requirements

Required qualifications:

Strong Knowledge and experience with design and development of database and data collection systems including knowledge of programming packages such as XML (must) and Javascript (plus).

Proven knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, STATA) (must).

Very good command of visualization and analysis packages such as R(must) and Tableau(plus).

Knowledge of Research Methods and Statistics.

Technical abilities in data modeling, management, cleaning, analysis and visualization.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail, accuracy, and speed.

Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings in both Arabic and English.

Education related to: statistics, economics, mathematics, public policy, data analysis, social research and evaluation methods.

Personal skills: Hard working, detail-oriented and focused, rigorous and organized. Must be able to prevent problems and solve them in case they occur.
