 Database Administrator

Bisan Systems Ltd., the market leader in ERP solutions in Palestine, has an immediate, full-time career opening, based at its Ramallah headquarters for a Database Administrator.

Duties and Responsibilities:

-Establish, maintain and implement policies and procedures for common database tasks such as installation, upgrade, capacity planning, backup, recovery, migration among others.
-Ensure performance, security, stability and availability of databases.
-In charge of Database design, implementation, deployment and tuning.
-Monitor database server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessary.
-Troubleshoot MySQL performance & non-performance related issues.
-Document data standards, policies and procedures, and data dictionary definitions.
-Ensure the data produced and stored in the databases is not corrupted.
-Constant updates to keep up-to-date with ever-changing computer technologies.
-Integrate new products into the system and ensure the accuracy and consistency of thedata produced.
-Configure database server settings.
-Document installation, configuration, and troubleshooting procedures.
-Contribute to and help maintain an up-to-date manual

Minimum Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualifications.
-Two years minimum experience in MySQL clusters.
-Solid knowledge of Windowsand UNIX operating systems.
-Knowledge of common Internet applications including, FTP, mail readers, and www browsers.
