Deputy Chief of Party
Chemonics International, a leading international organization based in Washington, D.C., seeks Deputy Chief of Party candidates for an anticipated early grade reading project in the West Bank funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). We are seeking individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. Deputy Chief of Party will serve in a leadership capacity, working closely with the Chief of Party and the project team to ensure smooth and effective implementation of all project activities.
Qualifications and Responsibilities:
-Minimum 7 years relevant technical and management experience in education programs including education reform; teacher professional development; early grade reading; monitoring donor-supported basic education; and/or early childhood development projects, preferably in the West Bank.
-Prior experience with the development of early grade reading, education systems strengthening and national and district-level service delivery is preferred. Prior experience with using EGRA-like assessments at the household level is preferred.
-Demonstrated leadership and strategic management and planning experience.
-Advanced degree in education or other relevant field required.
