Development Projects Programme Manager

Islamic Relief is an International humanitarian NGO  operating in Palestine in the
fields of emergency relief and long-term development. Islamic Relief announces the following vacancy for its office in Gaza.

Title: Development Projects Programme Manager.
Ref: DPM-D-01-2012.(Re-advertised)
Duration: one year - renewable (full time).

Overall Responsibilities:

To be responsible for the overallmanagement of IR development
projects in a professional andefficient manner, including providing guidance on the strategicexpansion
of the programme, identifying appropriate areasand sectors of intervention, especially in
sustainable development, business plans, market mapping and proposal writing.

Candidates must possess the following competencies:
-Bachelor degree, preferably post-graduate degree in economic/ social development, management,
or related field.
-Minimum of ten years’ experience of working in similar field, preferably with INGOs.
-A proven experience of effective project designing and management.
-Experience in projects planning, monitoring and evaluation.
-Experience and knowledge of budget control.
-Experience in sustainable business development projects.
-Fluency in English & Arabic (written and spoken)
-Strong communication, interpersonal & technical skills.
-Ability to multi-task effectively as well as display professionalism and confidence.
