AMIDEAST, is an international, non-profit, educational organization in the West Bank and Gaza
with offices throughout the Middle East and North Africa. AMIDEAST is recruiting for a Director
of Monitoring & Evaluation to be based in its Ramallah office. The selected candidate will provide
impact evaluation work that is used to attribute changes in the well-being of individuals, and education communities to particular project inputs, program, or policy.

Director of Monitoring & Evaluation
Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will provide intellectual, technical and managerial leadership to AMIDEAST’s educational programs.
The essential functions of the position include:
-Coordinate and lead research evaluation initiatives and ensure the application of learning from monitoring, research and evaluation in program design and implementation.
-Manage and update information management systems for program and project monitoring.
-Conduct needs assessments, cost/benefit analysis, policy analysis, process monitoring, and formative/summative evaluation.
-Provide technical expertise to clients, AMIDEAST staff, partners and policy makers.
-Write and review monitoring, evaluation and research reports from program units.
-Participate in professional and staff development activities, especially in Monitoring, Evaluation and Research work.
Qualifications:
-Master’s degree in sociology, education or similar social science, preferably in an international context. PhD preferred.
-Experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methodology and measurement.
-At least 7 years of practical working experience in planning, monitoring, evaluation and research.
-Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor and grow
staff.
-Working experience in the MENA region, with familiarity of Palestinian context preferred.
-Fluency in English and knowledge of Arabic preferred.
