Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is a leading UK charity dedicated to improving the health and dignity of Palestinians affected by conflict, occupation, and displacement. With a focus on the occupied Palestinian territory and Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, we provide vital health and medical care to those in need, particularly in crisis zones like Gaza. MAP is seeking a dedicated individual to lead the development and management of Disability programmes in Gaza under the supervision of the Head of Protection. The successful candidate will devise strategies, oversee project design, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with donor requirements. Responsibilities include developing programme strategies and SOPs, leading programme design, managing funding proposals, budgets, and donor reports, and coordinating project implementation with a focus on technical direction and quality standards. The role also involves monitoring programme expenditure, representing MAP in external forums, liaising with local authorities, and supporting local partners in project delivery.

Key requirements include extensive experience as a Programme Manager/Technical Specialist in humanitarian contexts, preferably in the Middle East, and experience in conflict-affected, insecure environments. The candidate should have a minimum of 8 years of practical experience in Disability programme implementation, technical Disability expertise, and fluency in Arabic and English.
The candidate will ensure compliance with international guidelines, monitor and evaluate programme impact, and foster staff development. They should be ready to work flexibly, adhere to MAP’s values of integrity, dignity, impact, and solidarity, and commit to equity, diversity, gender, protection, and safety policies.
