District Coordinators

AMIDEAST, an international non-profit education organization in the West Bank and Gaza, and its implementing partner, RTI International, are seeking qualified applications for positions on the USAID-funded West Bank Early Grade Reading project. This project will work closely with and support the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) to enhance learning outcomes for Palestinian children at the primary level by improving Arabic reading instruction, and policies and practices at the government, community and school levels. These positions will support EGR’s efforts to boost parent and community engagement in reading at early grade levels in West Bank public schools, with a focus on the development of relationships between schools, parents and community groups to improve and promote reading.

DISTRICT COORDINATORS (one based in Hebron & one based in Nablus)

District Coordinators are responsible for implementation of specific components of the Early Grade Reading program in their assigned district. This includes supporting project activities and coordinating community engagement and enrichment activities.

Candidates for consideration for this position must have the following skills and experience:

Bachelor's Degree in education, management, social sciences or any other related field;
A minimum of three years’ experience in development projects or education field and coordination;
Experience with USAID or other donor or government funded work (preferred, not required).
