Dot Net Desktop/Web Application Developer

The Ministry of Education Higher Education (MOEHE) has received a grant from the World Bank, International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of Tertiary Education Project The project aims at
(i) improving the policy making environment for tertiary education management, governance and quality assurance;
(ii) increase internal and external efficiency of tertiary education institutions as a first step towards
achieving sustainability; and
(iii) create incentives and provide the basis for improvements in quality, relevance and equity of tertiary education institutions in order to meet the socio-economic needs of the Palestinian
population
The Ministry announces the following consultancy, to be financed as part of the project

Position: Dot Net Desktop/Web Application Developer

Main Tasks and Responsibilities
1-Programming, updating and designing ULSA Desktop applications using visual studio 2008 and SQL server 2008
2-Programming, updating and designing reports needed using Crystal Reports, Microsoft Reports, Telerik Reports on desktop applications and web applications
3-Programming, updating and designing web applications for ULSA
4-Publishing & deploying applications for users
5-Problem solving & troubleshooting
6-Configuring and building windows forms controls, working with ADO connected / disconnected mode and XML documents‘ processing;

Minimum Required Qualifications
The following minimum qualifications are required
1-A university degree in IT, Computer Science or related discipline;
2-Minimum 2 years Dot NET development including [VB.Net, C#, Windows Forms, ADO.NET, and
ASP.NET;
3-Fluency in English speaking and writing;
4-Team player, self-motivated and detail oriented with strong analytical skills;

Place of Work
This post shall be based within the Unit of Lending Students Aid (ULSA) at MOEHE headquarters in Ramallah- Al-Masyoun
