The School Support Program (SSP) is a USAID funded initiative implemented by AMIDEAST in partnership with Save the Children that supports marginalized schools in the West Bank and East Jerusalem by upgrading classrooms and school facilities in at least 50 schools, enhancing schools’ learning and teaching environments through teacher training and leadership development for principals, and implementing extracurricular, career counseling, and sports activities to boost community engagement.
Save the Children is currently seeking the services of a specialized trainer to support Save the Children oPt Country Office and the SSP Program to initiate drama/theatre clubs in schools by training 50 teachers on how to establish drama clubs, basic skills in drama and theatre, producing theatre shows, supporting children in working as a team, and other topics that the trainer believe is relevant to the context. The teachers will be divided into 3 groups and a 3 days training will be conducted for each group. Locations of trainings will be Nablus, Ramallah and Hebron. Trainings will take place between 20 November and 20 December 2014.

Deliverables will be:
Submit a training agenda, outlining training topics, objectives and ouputs, and share any training materials for SC revision and approval.
Conduct a 9 days training for 3 groups of teachers (16-17 teachers per group)
Submit a training report that clearly states achievements against outputs and action points and recommendations for SC to follow

Qualifications and Experience :
- University degree in drama, theatre or a relevant field.
-Previous work experience in training teachers on the use of drama.
-Previous experience in working with children to produce plays and theatre shows.
- Knowledge of children’s rights.
-Experience in legal analysis;
-Excellent communication skills, and training skills.
-Highly developed analytical and conceptual skills and ability;
-Fluency in Arabic

Submit a technical application that includes a narrative proposal that includes training outline, objectives and expected outputs (3 pages maximum).  , and  a CV in English outlining relevant experiences, a cover letter that addresses the selection criteria outlined above, and three professional references.

Submit a financial proposal. Prices should be in US dollars and per daily rate and must be valid up till 90 days after the submission date.
Bio Data sheet should be filled by the applicants and submitted.
Uncompleted application will not be considered.
The successful bidder will sign all SCI and Donor required documents.
SCI reserves the right to reject all bids, and to decide not to pursue this procurement. SCI is not obliged to procure the lowest priced offer, when the lowest price does not offer the best overall value, all other factors considered.
