Driver

TIPH is a civilian observer mission in the West Bank city of Hebron. TIPH reports on breaches
of the agreements on Hebron and human rights law, and presents its findings to the member
countries and to the Palestinian and Israeli authorities.

The Temporary International Presence in Hebron (TIPH) is an international civilian observer mission.
The TIPH assists the parties in the normalisation of the situation in the city and reports on their efforts and the breaches of the agreements on Hebron and international law. TIPH reports to the Palestinian and Israeli authorities and to the six member countries.
The (TIPH) is looking for a driver to assist TIPH personnel on a daily basis under the supervision of
the Logistic Division. The driver is expected to represent TIPH in a responsible manner and always act in accordance with TIPH’s Code of Conduct.

Main Duties:
-Ensure safe and secure transportation of TIPH personnel and deliveries throughout Jerusalem,
the West Bank, and Israel.
-Carry out daily vehicle checks, water, oil, tyres, etc.
-Follow TIPH policy, as well as following official orders and procedures, at checkpoints and
roadblocks and other dealings with the authorities, to the extent that they do not compromise
the safety and security of TIPH personnel.
-Observe safe driving practices and respecting traffic regulations as required within the law of
OPT and Israel.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
-Valid Driver’s license and excellent driving skills, and with permission to drive category C
and D.
-Able to work under pressure and during night time.
-Minimum 5 years of experience as a driver.
-Excellent knowledge of Israel/West Bank roads.
-Service minded and a pleasant personality, and able to work with an International team.
-Computer skills (Word, Excel).
-Excellent command of English, Arabic and Hebrew.
-Holder of Jerusalem Residence ID.
