Driver

The Swedish Organisation for Individual Relief is fighting and exposing poverty and exclusion. The organisation was founded in 1938 and is currently working in five regions and twelve countries worldwide. The international work focuses on people´s right to education, good health and ability to sustain a life in dignity. All projects/programmes are implemented in close collaboration with local partner organisations.

We are now seeking a candidate to fulfill a vacancy in the Ramallah office:
Driver – part time, 20 hours per week with flexibility, working hours might be more one week and less another week, starting middle of May, 2016.
Key tasks:  Driving
                  
Safety and security follow up
Vehicle movements’ management                
Assist in office duties

Required qualifications:

-Minimum 5 years driving experience with good references.
-Arabic mother tongue and good level of spoken English; knowledge of Hebrew is preferred.
-Available to undertake frequent travel to field locations on the West Bank and Jerusalem.
-Experience with international NGO is preferred.
-Knowledge of mechanics is an advantage.
-Flexibility and capacity to work under pressure.
-Commitment to the values and mission of IM.  
-Ability to work part of a team.
