Position Location: Hebron, Palestine
Driver – USAID Non-Revenue Water Management Project (NRWMP)
The USAID NRWMP, implemented by Tetra Tech International Development (International Development Jobs - Tetra Tech) in the West Bank is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for a Driver. This position will be located in the main office in Hebron.
The purpose of this project is to improve Palestinians’ access to safe, reliable, sustainable, and climate resilient water services through: 1) the development and strengthening of the institutional capacity of the Hebron, Halhul, and Dura water utilities for sustainable, reliable, and climate-resilient water delivery service; 2) the implementation of strategic infrastructure works to support the objective of the activity; 3) the design and implementation of innovative solutions to expand the use of smart water management technologies for efficient, timely, and transparent water management; and 4) the design and implementation of innovative measures and public awareness campaigns to promote effective water governance at the utility and foster social behavioral change toward more efficient and responsible water use practices and trends. This is a full-time position based in Hebron with regular travel to Dura and Halhul.
The driver will provide safe transport services for NRWMP staff in the described area of responsibility. The driver will adhere to all country-specific traffic regulations and Tetra Tech safety rules and follow the Field Fleet Management Policy & will reports directly to the HR/Office Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Operate NRWMP vehicles as assigned by the supervisor.
- Maintain vehicle log-sheets in accordance with Field Fleet Management Policy.
- Check the vehicle conditions after each trip/routinely – report needs and problems to HR/Office Manager.
- Responsible for the safekeeping of all vehicle equipment, tools, first aid kits, spares etc.
- Keep the vehicle ready, clean and ready for use.
- Assist, as required, with logistics in the office and other tasks as necessary.
- Report all maintenance needs of the vehicle to HR/Office Manager respectively on a regular basis.
- Undertake field assignments as assigned.
- Ensure that all personnel wear a seatbelt and that the total number of passengers is within legal limits.
- Ensure all passengers adhere to the project’s vehicle use policy.
- Perform other tasks defined by the HR/Office Manager.

Qualifications:
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience as a driver.
- Ability to drive in the West Bank.
- Valid driver’s license and experience in driving 4x4 vehicles.
- Must respect and adhere to all safety and traffic rules.
- Basic understanding of English and fluency in Arabic is required.
- Knowledge of routes, duty stations, project areas, and the NGO and diplomatic community is required.
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Good geographic knowledge within the West Bank.
