USAID’s Momentum Country and Global Leadership (MCGL) award is a USAID funded global award, that works in tandem with country governments and local nongovernmental organizations to provide targeted technical and capacity development assistance and contribute to the global technical leadership and policy dialogue on improving measurable outcomes for maternal, reproductive, newborn and child health, and voluntary family planning.
MCGL is seeking a Driver to support the East Jerusalem Hospital Network (EJHN). EJHN comprises six non-profit, charitable hospitals that have a long history of providing services to patients from East Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza hospitals in East Jerusalem. The EJHN program will support hospitals within the network to diversify income streams and improve quality of services for patients from the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem.
Overview
The driver will provide logistical and transportation support for the Jhpiego EJ country office. This includes maintaining office vehicle(s), ensuring that the vehicle policies are adhered to, driving and assisting with other office duties. The Driver will maintain vehicle mileage and related records as required by Jhpiego policies. The Driver is expected to be flexible and work longer than office hours when in the field and departing/arriving from the field. The driver must also ensure all passengers adhere to transportation policies.
Responsibilities:
Vehicle Fleet Management.
- Overall responsibility for logistics and transportation support
- Drive according to local law and Jhpiego policy
- Operates assigned vehicle in a safe and courteous manner.
- Keeps the assigned vehicle(s) clean inside and outside.
- Maintains accurate, up-to-date records on trip sheets, customer transportation forms, vehicle maintenance, fuel purchases, incident reports, accident reports, vehicle condition reports and other records that are requested from Jhpiego management.

- Performs minor maintenance tasks on assigned vehicle(s) as required.
- Fuels the assigned vehicle(s).
- Coordinates the schedule for major or periodic vehicle maintenance with the IT and Administrative Officer and staff to minimize service interruptions.
- Responds immediately to accidents or medical emergencies by notifying emergency response providers, and rendering First Aid until emergency personnel arrive.
- To assist in liaising between IT and Admin Officer & suppliers (Taxi companies) in making logistical arrangements when needed.
- To carry out messenger duties and errands for the benefit of the entire office; including the bank, delivering & picking documents to & from service providers/donors/partners, paying utility bills (electricity and water, etc) as requested by the IT and Admin Officer.
- To provide logistical support to international staff in issuing/renewing B1 visas by making appointments on behalf of international staff at the Ministry of Interior. To deliver documents and picking-up recommendation letters from the Ministry of Social Affairs in coordination/guidance with the Admin Officer.
- Performs such other duties as may be required.
Vehicle Fleet maintenance /Repairs
- Be involved in the proper diagnosis of vehicle faults and recommend repairs.
- Responsible for ensuring that procurement procedures /documentation are completed before vehicles are released for repairs by workshops.

Required Qualifications:
- ID holder and Valid driving license that allow him to drive within East Jerusalem with clean driving record is a must.
- High school, or other relevant educational background combined with relevant professional experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working in similar position in an INGO sector
- Driving license for at least 10 years.
- Respect and adhere to all safety and traffic rules.
- Excellent knowledge of roads and places within WB and Jerusalem.
- Excellent knowledge of using map apps like Google map, waze etc.
- Basic English and Hebrew language knowledge.
- Basic level of computer knowledge.
Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines and intense pressure to perform.
- Defensive Driving experience
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
- Good negotiation skills
- Proficiency in use of computer and vehicle software
- Preferably speaking English and Hebrew
