according to principles of strict neutrality, political and religious impartiality, and non discrimination.

ACTED was created in 1993 to support populations affected by the conflict in Afghanistan. Based in
Paris, France, ACTED is present in four continents and our teams intervene in 34 countries towards 8
million people, responding to emergency situations, supporting rehabilitation projects and
accompanying the dynamics of development. In association with several French, European and
International partners, ACTED is committed to promoting and developing innovative approaches and
initiatives, humanitarian principles, new forms of solidarity and convergences between private and
public actors and NGOs from the North and the South covering themes such as aid efficiency and
transparency, evaluation, information and coordination of humanitarian emergencies, promotion of
local governance and civil society strengthening, sustainable access to income and microfinance,
prevention and reduction of catastrophes, the link between development aid, sustainable development
and social business, food security, etc.

In the occupied Palestinian territory, ACTED is both committed to humanitarian assistance and longterm
development. ACTED strives to strengthen the economic capacities of cooperatives in rural
areas, consolidate civil society organisations, and provide emergency assistance to the most
vulnerable, rural communities in the West Bank. ACTED currently seeks a Project Manager for its
humanitarian projects in the West Bank.

Position Profile
Driving ,Safety and Security Follow up
-The safety of passengers is the driver main responsibility. Mainly to ask all of them to fasten
their seat belt (including back seated passengers), before starting the vehicle
-Responsible to respect and obey Traffic Rule and Regulations.
-Respect the speed limits, and reduce the vehicle speed when you reach places like markets,
schools, worship places, etc...
-Respect the travel timing. It’s the driver’s responsibility to alert the passenger about the time
needed for each journey. If the passenger is late, it’s NOT the driver responsibility to arrive on
time
-Report any incident or accident immediately to the Logistics Officer, Use the Security Incident
report to declare any accident
-On daily basis make sure ACTED cars are Clean and filled for more than half tank of fuel.
Assistance in Transportation and Vehicle Movements Management
-Follow the arrangements of staff transportation movements.
-ensure that all motorized assets are in perfect working condition by implementing relevant
preventive maintenance measures and repairs when required
-Follow up cars cleanses and maintenance.
-Filling & checking documents as the Logbooks, Cars Check lists.
-Check that the Logbook and the mileage are matching
-Pick and drop of ACTED staff/Guest at airports and borders
-Check that the all ACTED cars Logbooks are filled correctly (and signed) for the previous day


-Responsible for the accompaniment of all sensitive ACTED deliveries (freight and mail) from
one ACTED base to another. He is accountable for the safety and security of the items under
his jurisdiction during the delivery process.
-Carry up the stuff when needed.
Assistance in Procurement Management
-Purchase and deliver the stationary, cleaning material, Mineral Water and other support
purchases and arrange it in the storage.
-Distribute /Collect quotations & Tenders and any other official correspondences.
Deliver payments From/to the suppliers
-Receiving orders from the various departments;
-Formulating a plan to purchase the items ordered from the market
-Ensure the delivery of the procured items to the ACTED base
-Develop and update the order follow-up at the base level
Assistance in Assets and properties Management
-Assist in monitor the proper use of ACTED properties & assets
-Repairs works at office & Guest House
-Moving ACTED assets & properties when needed
-Assist in the regular inventories, sticking the registered Assets and other property.
-Assist the Logistics officer in following up all program inventories
-Assist the Logistics officer in management of the IN & OUT processes in the Base storage

facilities
Logistics Department Support and Filling
-Support Logistics officer in daily relevant logistics activities.
-Assist in Logistics duties including filing, copying, correspondence
-Assist in administrative duties including reception and answering the phone calls.
-Any Other tasks related to the department activates as assigned by Logistics Officer and

Country Director

Qualifications:
-Minimum 3 years driving experience with good references.
-Arabic mother tongue and good level of spoken English; knowledge of Hebrew is preferred.
-Available to undertake frequent travel to field locations in the West Bank, including East
Jerusalem.
-Experience with International NGOs is preferred.
-Knowledge of mechanics is an advantage.
-Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines under pressure, and to complete work with high quality
and attention to detail.
-Flexibility and capacity to work under pressure.
-Commitment towards principles and ethics of humanitarian aid, including compliance with ACTED
standards and principles.
-Experience in adhering to security protocols and procedures.

Conditions:
-Ability to drive in Jerusalem (Jerusalem ID holder).
-Residence in Ramallah or Kufr Akab.
-Valid driving license with a good driving record.
-Over 24 years old.
