E-content Manager

“E-learning Curriculum in Palestinian Primary and Secondary Education” The Ministry of Education and Higher Education in cooperation with the Belgian Development Agency -BTC, is seeking qualified candidates for a:
Full-time e-content Manager post within the Palestinian education sector.
1-Location and duration
The e-learning Manager will be based in Ramallah (Ministry of Education and Higher Education) with frequent field visits to the Palestinian Governorates for the overall project duration of 4 years.

2-Task description


S/he:
-Provides continuous encouragement and technical support (help desk) for active teachers / student groups developing their selfinitiated e-content, which will serve as input for the dynamic part of the Portal (forum exchanges, wiki etc.), in cooperation with the multimedia and IT support assistant;
-Selects the best examples of self initiated e-modules, presents these modules for authentication to the ‘e-content committee’ and manages the rewarding of winning modules;
-Transfers self-initiated e-content (bottom-up) from the dynamic to the authenticated part of the portal (e-enabled tools enhancing learner-centred education, e-content for curricula units, educational games, communication tools, etc.);
-Conducts awareness raising sessions on the best practices amongst e-modules initiated and developed by teachers, in order to
facilitate peer-to-peer stimulation and networking between practitioners in cooperation with the Project Management Team and the Field Coordinators;
-Ensures good collaboration with the responsible officials of the education sector and the local and district authorities.

3-Required profile

S/he should have:

-A university degree in ICT, education or related field, Master level or equivalent;
-An experience in developing e-content for pupils and students in primary and secondary education;
-An experience in ICT for education;
-A pedagogical background and a good knowledge of primary and secondary education, including e-learning;
-Relevant experience in assessing e-content and e-modules from the learner’s point of view;
-The ability of working in a team of professionals from different conceptual backgrounds and experiences;
-The ability to write clear and concise reports, manuals and instructions;
-Good communication, presentation and facilitation skills;
-Arabic as his / her mother tongue and a good level of spoken and written English;
-Experience with education projects and initiatives linked with e-learning would be an advantage.

4- Expected output and outcomes of the Candidate‘s services Ensures effective start-up of the e-learning platform, regular monitoring, communication with pupils / students, teachers and professionals involved in e-learning experiences, interaction with MoEHE's departments involved in e-learning and ICT for Education.
