Early Childhood Dvelopment Coordinator

Job Description
This position will manage the coordination and implementation of the ECD program at the zonal level, this will include managing implementation, quality assurance, networking and other responsibilities; and regularly assess the priorities to identify key issues for WV to address.  It also serves to mobilize technical resources to keep staff updated on technical guidelines and best practices, in coordination with the Zonal Manager and Technical Lead.
ROLE DIMENSION / DESCRIPTION
Management and Implementation (60%)
·         Contribute to the zonal detailed implementation plans in relation to the ECD programs
·         Ensure successful implementation of the DIPs interventions related to the ECD programs
·         Recruit, orient and manage the community health workers in charge of implementation at community level
·         Ensure timely provision of goods and services related to ECD in compliance with the World Vision supply chain regulations
·         Develop and submit relevant and regular progress reports
Quality management    (20%)
·         Ensure the quality of implemented ECD interventions
·         Manage a comprehensive data management of ECD program interventions, demographic and  indicators, gather up-to-date information data
·         Coordinate various evaluation activities, including baseline and endline surveys for various  interventions in the zone
·         Compile and analyze monitoring data and share information with managers and ELA team for decision-making
·         Ensure performance improvement and CHWs / relevant staff capacity building 
Networking  (10%)
·         Manage the external engagement relations with stakeholders
·         Ensure that WV JWG is able to meet WV Partnership Standards
·         Participate in Sector Working Group Meetings
·         Ensure Zonal/WV JWG representation with Directorates of Health and CBOs/local NGOs.
·         Take leadership in establishing networks and alliances of various development players at zonal level.
 
HEA (5%)
·         Ensure that HEA standards are fully subscribed to and implemented as needed 
·         Perform duties and participate in HEA responses as required during times of  emergencies.
Other (5%)
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Job Requirements
Required Experience, Education & knowledge
  Previous relevant 3 year-experience, including at least one year of development facilitation in and with communities
·         Experience with faith, community based and child focused empowerment programs.
·         Experience with program assessment, design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation processes.
     
·         Strong understanding of community-led development work
·         Creative and able to apply innovative thinking, partnership building and problem solving skills;
·         Strong facilitation and coordination skills, including catalyzing, connecting, and building the capacity of community groups
·         Good analytical and writing skills; Basic understanding of design, monitoring, and evaluation
·         Good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity, abilities to work as a team.
·         Effective in written and oral communication; able to speak and write with a proper standard of English.
  • Computer literacy; Strong computer skills including MS Office applications/software
