About TYO
Tomorrow’s Youth Organization (TYO) is an American non-profit organization that works in disadvantaged areas of the Middle East, enabling children, youth and parents to realize their potential as healthy, active and responsible family and community members. With the support of Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) under the Bokrah Project, TYO is recruiting a highly qualified and motivated Psychologist interested in Early Childhood Education, advocacy, health and lifestyle reforms, and civic participation at our flagship center in Nablus, Palestine.
Job Summary
Early Childhood Educators will contribute to all of TYO’s activities and community events as needed. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement all aspects of the Early Childhood Program including lesson plans, managing classrooms, and providing behavioral and emotional support for students
- Ensure local volunteers are engaged and useful in the classroom, serving the children, and increasing personal growth
- Mentoring children growth
- Reporting to the academic Program manager
Primary Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- At least 4+ years experience teaching fulltime in early childhood education settings
- Fluency in Arabic and good command of English
- Patience and interpersonal communication to develop trust and relationships with young children
- Excellent organizational and program administration skills, and the initiative to apply them as needed without extensive direction
- Experience in and enthusiasm for working with children
- Creativity and positive energy for making a difference
- Commitment to TYO’s non-political, non-religious approach
- Willing to relocated/work in Nablus
