Early Childhood Program Coordinator
Early Childhood Program Coordinator
American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA) is a leading provider of development, health, education and employment programs to Palestinian communities and impoverished families throughout the Near East. It is seeking an “Early Childhood Program Coordinator” to assist in developing and implementing various ECE projects and activities in conjunction with local academic institutions and preschools in the West Bank.
The successful candidate will:
- Collaborate with local academic partners and technical staff in mentoring preschools to improve their management capability through better processes and procedures for more effective resources management and children enrollment.
-Work with local academic partners in mentoring early childhood caregivers, educators, and managers and assist them with resources and support for teaching and caring for children.
-Provide technical assistance to preschools during implementation of various ECE activities.
- Foster cooperation with partners to organize training and community/networking activities within geographical regions to promote early childhood education and professional development.
- Work with ANERA’s engineers and partners to oversee the renovation of preschools and an enhanced educational environment.
- Evaluate recommendations and requests for improving the educational environment and programs for childcare facilities.
-Develop concepts and write proposals to support preschools development.
- Coordinate activities of other related cultural and education projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Child Education or related field preferably with a MA or higher diploma in Child Education or Education Administration.
-Minimum of three years in working with preschools/kindergarten in teaching and/or management positions.
- Proven experience in project management and proposals writing.
- Commitment to providing quality results and service.
- Receptive to feedback and committed to learning for growth and development.
- Ability to think clearly, deeply and broadly.
- Demonstrated ability in building and maintaining collaborative relationships.
-Ability to communicate information effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills.
-Thorough knowledge of MS Office and Communication tools.
-Fluency in oral and written English and Arabic.
-Previous experience working with an International NGO will be a definite plus.
- Flexible to frequent travel in the West Bank and outside the country
Place of work: ANERA’s office in Ramallah with occasional visits to ANERA’s office in Jerusalem and elsewhere.
Duration of contract: One year subject to renewal.
