Education Policy Specialist

Responsibilities:The selected candidate will provide intellectual, technical and managerial leadership to an AMIDEAST teacher development project funded by USAID.

The essential functions of the position include:


-Coordinate education policy development associated with the Ministry of Education and
-Higher Education's Teacher Education Strategy (TES).
-Conduct policy analysis of existing planning documents and strategically design policy approaches vv ith specific outcomes
-Liaise with all entities and parties involved in the TES, particularly within the MoFHE
-Manage the education policy development process the selection and hiring of consultants. Coordinate the review, analysis and production of policy planning documents.

Qualifications:
-Master's degree in education or similar social science, preferably in an international context.
-At least ten years of practical working experience in policy development and analysis, as w ell as planning in the context of institutional capacity building support at the national level
-Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the familiarity with the Palestinian education establishment.
-Fluency in Arabic and excellent spoken and written English.
