Tomorrow’s Youth Organization (TYO) is a non-profit organization that provides educational and psychosocial support to children, youth, and families in the Middle East. TYO is seeking highly motivated Elementary Educators to support non-formal education programs for children in grades 1–6.

Job Summary
TYO seeks an experienced educator to lead its After-School Academic and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Program, which serves elementary school-aged children in Nablus. This role focuses on academic support, socio-emotional learning, and mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) for children facing adversity. The educator will play a key role in bridging educational gaps and fostering resilience among students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement engaging, interactive lesson plans in literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional learning (SEL).
  • Provide academic support and remedial education to children struggling in formal school settings.
  • Create a safe and structured classroom environment where children feel emotionally supported.
  • Integrate trauma-informed teaching practices and MHPSS interventions to address student needs.
  • Facilitate structured creative activities, play, and group discussions to encourage expression and emotional well-being.
  • Work closely with counselors and psychologists to support students facing behavioral challenges.
  • Mentor and train local volunteers, equipping them to support educational programs.
  • Conduct regular student assessments and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Lead parental engagement workshops, reinforcing the role of caregivers in children's learning.

Job Requirements

Primary Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Child Development, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 4+ years of teaching experience, preferably in elementary education, non-formal education, or emergency education settings.
  • Expertise in Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), trauma-informed education, or MHPSS interventions.
  • Fluency in Arabic, with strong English communication skills.
  • Experience teaching in crisis-affected or marginalized communities is highly desirable.
  • Ability to adapt lesson plans based on student learning needs and academic gaps.
  • Strong classroom management skills and ability to create a positive learning environment.
  • Passion for child-centered, interactive learning approaches.
