Emergency Field Coordinator
United Palestinian Appeal is seeking a qualified candidate for the Emergency Field Coordinator position.
Duration: Six-month contract with possible extension
The Emergency field coordinator plays a vital role in overseeing UPA's response in Gaza. This includes the reception, distribution, and record-keeping of humanitarian assistance, as well as monitoring all emergency interventions across different sectors in the Gaza Strip. The emergency field coordinator reports directly to the Senior Director of Field Operations and collaborates closely with the relevant team to ensure efficient and effective aid delivery.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Receiving Humanitarian Assistance:
· Coordinate and oversee the reception of trucks delivering humanitarian aid (e.g., medical supplies, food parcels) to UPA and/or UPA partners.
· Verify the accuracy and completeness of received aid shipments.
· Ensure safe and proper storage of incoming assistance materials.
2. Distribution Planning and Execution:
· Participate with the local partners, as applicable, to develop comprehensive plans for the distribution of humanitarian aid, considering the needs of the affected population, priorities, challenges and situation on the ground.
· Collaborate with UPA team to strategize efficient allocation and timely distribution of resources.
· Monitor and supervise the execution of aid distribution activities.
3. Record-keeping and Documentation/Monitoring & Evaluation:
· Maintain detailed and accurate records of all incoming and outgoing humanitarian assistance and interventions in different sectors including health, food security, WASH, and shelter.
· Prepare reports on aid inventory, distribution activities, and relevant documentation as required.
· Ensure compliance with organizational protocols and standards for record-keeping and M&E.
· Conduct monitoring visits to different interventions locations and seek feedback on UPA interventions from direct beneficiaries/participants as needed.
· In cooperation with the communications team, ensure visibility requirements are met.
4. Communication and Coordination:
· Collaborate closely with the local partners and UPA team and provide regular updates on distribution activities, interventions and challenges faced.
· Attending in-person cluster meetings in Gaza as applicable and needed and share information that feed into the organization programing and interventions.
· Perform any other related responsibilities and special assignments as requested by the supervisor

· University degree in a related field with 3-5 years of experience working within NGOs, preferably in humanitarian aid or emergency response.
· Advanced knowledge of Excel, Access, and other Microsoft Office software.
· Fluency in Arabic and English.
· Ability to create and utilize weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as needed.
· Demonstrate verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to interact well and create positive working relationships with different teams, partners, networks and local actors.
· Demonstrated skills to work in a fluid environment with changing priorities and plans.
· Experience in keeping clear records of inventory-related projects and decisions.
· Ready to work long hours in an emergency response environment.
