English Language Teachers

Amideast is searching for certified-experienced English Language teachers in Jerusalem, Ramallah, Nablus, Jericho, Salfeet, Tulkarem, Abu Dis, Qalqilyia, and Hebron. Instructors are responsible for teaching adults and students English language courses and tailoring material to meet the needs and demands of our clients.

All English Language instructors are hired as Consultants by Amideast and are reimbursed per teaching hour, which is inclusive of preparation, grading, lesson planning, etc. Teachers are not paid for holidays or absent days. Amideast does not offer accommodation and/or travel stipends for instructors.

Qualifications

• Fluent English speaker;
• BA in TESOL, Language Education, English OR BA in a related field;
• Certification such as TESOL, TEFL, or CELTA, from an accredited university or institute;
• Minimum equivalent of 1-year teaching experience in an educational institute; Experience mentoring and observing is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress;
• Highly professional, organized and dependable;
• Able to interact with students of all ages and skill levels;
• Experience leading a classroom and creating interactive student-centered lesson plans;
• Flexibility as to the hours/schedule of teaching; and
• Proficient computer and internet skills.
