EORE/CPP Facilitators
Position Title: EORE/CPP Facilitators
Location: Gaza Strip
Report to: EORE/CPP Master Trainers
Duration: 2.5 months (with the possibility of extension)
MA’AN Development Center is an independent Palestinian non-profit organization, established in Jerusalem in January 1989. Relying on a human rights-based approach, community partnerships, and active participation, MA’AN works to enhance the resilience, empowerment, and realization of the rights of those most in need, the poor and marginalized groups and individuals, as well as unleash their latent capacities to enhance their active participation in sustainable development and their abilities to respond to and recover from crises.
MA'AN seeks to hire competent (EORE/CPP Facilitators) responsible for delivering Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) and Child Protection in Emergencies (CPP) sessions to civilians in Gaza. EORE/CPP Facilitators will engage community members through interactive sessions and distribute educational materials to promote safety and awareness.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Deliver awareness and education sessions on EORE and CPP to civilians in Gaza.
- Facilitate interactive and context-sensitive sessions to ensure participants understand the threats posed by explosive ordnance and how to mitigate them.
- Use a variety of methods and materials to engage different community members, including children, adults, and vulnerable groups.
- Distribute EORE/CPP printed materials, such as stickers and posters, during and after the sessions.
- Collect feedback from participants and use it to improve the effectiveness of the sessions.
- Coordinate with community leaders and other stakeholders to ensure widespread dissemination of risk education messages.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Sciences, Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in community education or outreach, preferably in conflict or post-conflict settings.
- Understanding of EORE, CPP, and PFA principles and practices.
- A basic understanding of English is an advantage.
