EWASH Advocacy Task Force Officer –  Based in Gaza
National position – Fixed term contract up to 31/3/2015

We are looking for an Advocacy Task Force Officer to coordinate the activities of the EWASH Advocacy Task Force in close coordination with partner organizations, the wider EWASH coalition and the WASH (Water Sanitation & Hygiene) Cluster for the Gaza Strip. The position will be required to provide support for the activities of the Advocacy Task Force, as well as to partner organizations and ensure that the activities of the task force are carried out effectively and in a timely manner. 

Qualifications and Competencies:
Education: Bachelor’s degree (Essential)

Experience
-At least two years work experience in an NGO, preferably in an advocacy or coordination role.
-Good working knowledge of Water Sanitation,  & Hygiene issues in the occupied Palestinian territory.

Core Competencies
-Excellent communication skills, including written and oral presentation skills
-Capacity on driving activities forward
-Ability to deliver in a timely manner and keeping stakeholders updated on any delays
-Ability to pay attention to details without losing the bigger picture
-Ability to think strategically and use sound judgment
-Proven ability to take personal initiative and work as part of a team
-Excellent English and Arabic is a clear advantage
