Export Development Coordinator
Job Description
Palestine Trade Center (PalTrade) is a nongovernmental organization established in 1998. PalTrade’s purpose is to lead the development of Palestinian trade as a driving force for sustainable national economic growth. As the National Export Development Organization with membership of more than 300 Palestinian leading businesses, PalTrade advocates a competitive, enabling business environment and is dedicated to improving trade competitiveness through trade promotion and capacity building.
PalTrade is seeking candidates to fill the following positions for its offices in Gaza:
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Participate in development of PalTrade Gaza plans and implementation, based on clients’ needs and opportunities;
-Coordinate various local and regional business development activities such as business to business meetings, capacity building programs, study tours, market researches, sectors assessment, and firm-level technical assistance;
-Maintain participants’ database to ensure useful information is added & updated on a regular basis from new projects, research, and events;
-Communicate and conducts regular field visits to related associations, factories, and companies in Gaza Strip, to indentify development priorities, monitor and report impact measures;
-Organize and maintain activities development files and records;
-Prepare and deliver periodic reports and presentation in both English and Arabic and as requested; and
-Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills
-First-hand knowledge of local business and industry, preferably through direct experience in the private sector in Gaza Strip;
-Strong analytical and communication skills;
-Excellent English and Arabic language and writing skills;
-Skills in using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); and
-Experience in private sector
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or relevant field plus 3years work experience, at least two years of which were in similar responsible position.
