Background: Youth Friendly Health Services (YFHS) aim to provide accessible and confidential health services tailored to the needs of young people. In universities, where young adults congregate, establishing YFHS activities is crucial for promoting their health and well-being. This TOR outlines the responsibilities and qualifications required for the role of Facilitator of Youth Friendly Health Activities.

Responsibilities: The Facilitator of Youth Friendly Health Activities will be primarily responsible for:
Coordinating Youth Friendly Health Services (YFHS) in university health centers, youth hubs, and spaces.
Organizing youth health events within the university, such as workshops, seminars, and campaigns.
Promoting YFHS activities and initiatives within the university context to increase awareness and participation.
Collaborating with university staff, student organizations, and external partners to support the implementation of YFHS activities.
Providing guidance and support to university students on accessing YFHS and addressing their health concerns.
Developing and maintaining partnerships with local health organizations and service providers to enhance YFHS offerings.

The ideal candidate for the position should possess the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a social or health-related field (e.g., public health, social work, psychology, nursing).
Previous experience working with youth or in youth-focused health programs is preferred.
Knowledge of youth-friendly health services and familiarity with the unique health needs and challenges faced by young people.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with university students and stakeholders.
Strong networking and collaboration abilities to establish partnerships and coordinate activities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and positive attitude.
Fluency in both written and spoken Arabic and English languages.

Location: Youth Friendly Health Centers in Birzeit University – Ramallah , Palestine Ahliya University – Bethlehem
Duration: 15 April 2024 – 31 December 2024
