2.         Context

Relief International (RI) is an international non-profit organization that partners with communities impacted by conflict, climate change and disaster to save lives, build greater resilience and promote long-term health and wellbeing.

 3.         Job Profile

Under the management of the Center Supervisor – Transitional Shelter and with the technical support of the Protection Officer, the Facilitator will support the development, organization and implementation of activities at the Transitional Shelter. She will also liaise with local community groups, local NGOs and international NGOs present in the catchment area and facilitate the contacts to the Protection Officer, maintain the safety and integrity of project operations particularly as they relate to participants attending activities in the centers. 

4.        Key Responsibilities

Main Tasks

  • Conduct guided recreational activities and facilitate awareness sessions and life skills activities at the Transitional Shelter under the technical supervision of the Protection Officer.
  • Organize activities for women and adolescent girls at the Transitional Shelter and in the catchment areas of the Transitional Shelter.
  • Work closely with Transitional Shelter Supervisor to schedule and plan meaningful activities at the Transitional Shelter.
  • Develop activities plans and follow up on activities outcomes.
  • Organize activity sheets and reports and provide information on various activities and list of participants.
  • Participate in conducting needs assessments and mobile outreach on regular basis as requested by management.
  • Support the Protection Officer in keeping the service mapping updated
  • Ensure that all data is safely gathered and properly stored.
  • Complete any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager.

  • Ensures that behavior inside and outside of work promotes the values in RI’s code of conduct and safeguarding policies.
  • Acts with integrity and holds themselves accountable for being respectful, inclusive and professional.
  • Keep confidential all beneficiary data and organizational data per requirements of Relief International and donor policies and standards.
  • Reports any concerns.

Desirable criteria
