Feedback, Complaint and Response Mechanisms Assistant
War Child is an international child rights organization devoted to ensuring a peaceful future for children and young people affected by armed conflict. Operating since 2006 in occupied Palestinian territories, War Child focuses on child protection, mental health, and psychosocial support.
The FCRM Assistant will be part of the country MEAL team, with a key role in ensuring proper implementation of the Accountability to Affected Population (AAP) processes and fulfilling the project requirements.
Contract Duration: 12 months (with intention to extend upon good performance and availability of funding)
Responsibilities:
- Accountability:
- Support the implementation of the AAP, CHS, PSEAH, and FCRM initiatives.
- Arrange and facilitate regular meetings with the different community groups to reflect on their satisfaction with the project processes, and the quality of the AAP, PSEAH, and FCRM initiatives, and overall satisfaction.
- Serve as a primary point of contact between the organization and community members, leaders, and representatives.
- Participate in reflection events with the team to identify feedback themes and support drafting recommendations for adaptive management.
- Assure proper documentation, registration, and referral of FCRM cases.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly FCRM reports.
- Identify and document learning from the AAP-related processes.
- Work closely with key stakeholders, especially affected populations, to draft an AAP or Community Engagement Strategy.
- Assist in the rollout of expanded feedback and response mechanisms, strengthening existing systems, and introducing new approaches as needed.
- Employ/ utilize modern and interactive AAP information management systems tailored to the needs of decision-makers and operational requirements and to enhance communication and feedback mechanisms.
- Collaborate with staff and community engagement data to inform the design and implementation of organizational activities.
- Promote inclusivity and diversity within AAP process ensuring that all members including vulnerable groups have equal access to information and feedback channels.
- Support the integration of feedback from affected populations into decision-making throughout the program cycle.
- Develop clear, relevant, and culturally sensitive content for AAP, PSEAH, FCRM materials and work closely with designers and communication specialists to create visually appealing materials.
- Regularly review and update materials to reflect changes in programs, policies, or community needs.
- Coordinate the distribution and dissemination of different materials to ensure they reach all relevant groups.
- Networking:
- Engage in regular discussions with communities to gain a deep understanding of their needs and priorities.
- Support in rolling out an AAP capacity-strengthening agenda for staff, partners, and key stakeholders.
- Establish partnerships to strengthen AAP, including with partners, interagency forums, UN and INGO agencies, and directly with affected populations.
- Facilitate referral of cases to humanitarian essential services, especially focusing on reproductive and maternal health for vulnerable communities.
- Work towards enhancing a protective environment that respects the human rights of all, through ensuring compliance with CHS, AAP, Integrity, and Safe Grading policies.
- Maintain comprehensive local knowledge of key partners, target communities, and a solid understanding of the humanitarian landscape.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in management, business administration, statistics, development, or related fields.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in MEAL/ AAP in social development. Experience in child protection and/or psychosocial support programming is highly desirable. MIS or IT competency are highly preferred.
- Skills: Report writing in English and Arabic, organizational skills, teamwork, critical thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal communication, cultural sensitivity, commitment to War Child’s vision and Child Safeguarding Policy.
