The Young Women’s Christian Association of Ramallah is a membership based organization that works to support economic development for women, promote women’s rights and access to services and advance children’s education and cognitive learning. As a youth-oriented organization, the YWCA also aims at creating youth leaders and supporting their civic engagement thus enabling them to participate in the process of nation building and decision making at all levels.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
The Executive Director is the highest executive post at the YWCA of Ramallah who has the strategic oversight over the Association; implements or delegates implementation of all Board decisions, and manages/delegates all daily tasks and functions in the Association. The incumbent will be located at the YWCA of Ramallah office, and is expected to have the following qualifications:
-Be a resident of Ramallah and possess an in-depth knowledge of the development and NGO sector in Palestine
-A Master’s Degree in Development or Gender Studies , Women Studies, Management of NGOs, or any other related field
-At least 8 years experience in project or NGO management with a minimum of 5 years experience in supervisory roles
-Proven skills and experience in program formulation, implementation and reporting
-Strong leadership and supervision skills, and willingness to work within and lead a team
-Proficiency in both Arabic and English (written and spoken)
-Strong networking and communication skills and the ability to work under pressure
Duties and Responsibilities:
In accordance with the set policies and procedures, the incumbent is responsible for providing supervision to all YWCA departments as well as the Jalazone Centre; including but not limited to the following:
-Participate in, and coordinate on behalf of the Association’s staff and membership all inputs into the Strategic Planning process and the execution of the multi-year Strategic Plan
-Prepare Annual Implementation Plan for the Association
-Oversee all the departments to ensure that all grants and specific planned activities are implemented in accordance with objectives, and within agreed upon time-frames, processes, procedures and budgets allocated
-Prepare donor reports for all donors for the Association as per grant agreements and in compliance with donor requirements
-Review and approve all quarterly financial reports prior to submission to the Financial Controller
-Oversee and/or directly implement staff and consultants’ recruitment, evaluation, hiring, terminations, training of all the Ramallah staff
-Prepare with the Board the General Assembly Annual Report
