THE JOB
Under the overall responsibility of the Project Manager, and directly under the supervision of the Technical Officer, the Field Assistant will provide key support in the roll-out and implementation of livelihood activities. She/he will works with partners, beneficiaries and stakeholders to ensure project outputs are of the highest quality and that expected results are achieved in a timely and efficient manner of the project Fostering Inclusive Employment and promoting the advancement of equitable opportunities for Persons with Disabilities implemented by HI & partners organizations.


Main tasks will include:

Project activities Implementation

-Identify the needs of both PwDs and employers to ensure employment opportunities are adapted to the need of the former.

- Support and participate in the vocational assessment for PWDs.
- Support and contribute in the development of the personalized action plan for PWDs.
- Support and contribute in the accessibility assessment for the employers.
- Support and contribute in the inclusion assessment for the employers.
- Support and contribute in the development of inclusion action plans for the employers.

-Provide follow up, coaching and mentorship to PwDs on job placement and internship as well as employers based on identified needs to succeed in their roles.

-Support and contribute in the social support plan for the newly employed PWDs.
-Provide regular field visits to follow up newly employed PWDs.
-Provide coaching and mentorship for newly employed PWDs.
-Support the TO, and PA in the creation of the Multi-stakeholder working Groups
-Support the PA in the creation of the employer disability committee/focal point.
-Support the implementation of the accessibility accommodation within the employer facilities based on the personal needs of the newly employed PWDs.
-Support the implementation of the overall inclusion action plan for the employers.


Monitoring and evaluation:

- Support the TO and PA and Project team in regular project monitoring.
- Fill in all data collection forms on the field and do the data entry in relevant database to ensure it is up-to-date.
- Participate in analysing lessons learned on the projects experience gained from implementation.

Support in project evaluation as defined by PM.

Represent the association within his/her skills field
Co-represent and defend project in forums, conferences, and prepare minutes as requested by TO.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

Must have bachelor degree in social work or Knowledge management.
At least one year of working experience in community work.
Skilled and confident to relate to and communicate with individuals and groups
Good computer skills.
Flexibility, ability to take initiative
Capacity to deliver training using a variety of methodologies
Previous experience in delivering training and coaching within community settings
Ability to work harmoniously in a team setting
Good Negotiation skills
Excellent communication skills
Good skills in organization, co-ordination and the transfer of knowledge are essential.
The person must be able to work independently and without constant supervision.
Ability to live and work in a difficult security context and in conditions of limited comfort and willingness to accept security protocols.


Initial contract will be for a period of one year and the position is based in Gaza.
