Field Documentation Officer
Job Description
Save the Children is currently seeking a field documentation Officer for the “Post Trauma
Rehabilitation of Palestinian ex-detainee Children in the West Bank” programme implemented
in partnership with the EJ-YMCA and funded by The European Commission’s Humanitarian
Aid and Civil Protection Department (ECHO):
Main Responsibilities:
-Ensure the implementation of the communications and advocacy plan (liaising with the media is a relatively small part of this job)
-Documentation of facts, achievements, findings and evidences on child rights violations related to the “Post trauma Rehabilitation of Palestinian Ex detainee Children” programme.
-Produce and distribute timely, accurate and accessible information outputs project related – these could include case studies, success stories, factsheets/briefings, brochures and diaries.
-Ensure proper documentation and proper visibility of all programme activities according to ECHO and Save the Children visibility guidelines.
-Provide support in the organization of events related to the programme, write press releases and liaise with the media
-Provide support for compiling the reports to ECHO, make sure all the documents and communication activities are consistent (this last part is not needed for publication)
Qualifications and Experience:
-Bachelor degree in Social Sciences, Human Rights Studies, preferably in journalism /communications
-2 years (Familiar with the INGOs work)
