Background

The Deutsche Gesellschaft füri nternationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is acting on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) to support the development of the institutional capacity-ties in the Palestinian water sector. In line with the partner’s development priorities, policies and strategies, the GIZ Water Programme Palestine (WPP) aims to improve the institutional, technical and operational capacities of relevant Palestinian water sector institutions.

Within this framework, the WPP supports capacity building for Palestinian Water Service Providers (WSP) and other relevant organisations, including the Palestinian Water Authority (PWA) and the Water Sector Regulatory Council (WSRC).

To implement its 2017 plan of operation, the WPP invites qualified individuals to submit their profiles to work as Short Term individual experts in the West Bank under one of the profiles described below:

Profile and Task
   
Field expert for the performance monitoring of Water Service Providers in the Southern West Bank region:

work as a field data collection and verification expert. Main tasks entail field visits to WSP, on-the-job coaching to WSP concerned staff, field verification of data submitted for performance monitoring reports, compilation and analysis of collected data.   

Minimum requirements

-A University degree in finance / management or a related field
-3 years of relevant experience in similar work
-Good analytical and validation skills
-Good interpersonal skills
-Good command in English written and spoken
-Preferably resident of Bethlehem or Hebron governorates.
