The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and independent humanitarian organisation. We are looking for acandidate to fill in the following position:

Function : Field Officer

Department : Assistance / Economic Security Dept.

Place of Employment : Jerusalem

Starting date : March 2009

Minimum required knowledge and experience:

• University degree or equivalent

• 2 years work experience in a similar field

• Fluent in written and spoken English

• Good knowledge of the West Bank and East Jerusalem

• Good analytical and translation skills

• Holder of a valid driving licence of B category

Job Description:

• Monitors and reviews ICRC Economic Security projects in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

• Monitors emergency ad-hoc assistance and house destruction relief programme

• Writes reports and compiles statistics about ongoing projects

• Conducts and documents meetings with beneficiaries, staff and local authorities

• Interprets and translates documents from Arabic to English and vice versa

• Assists with other duties as required
