Field Security Officer

World Vision Jerusalem-West Bank-Gaza is seeking:

The successful candidate will:
Provide support to the National Security Coordinator in implementing World Vision Security and Safety Policies and Strategies within the Gaza Strip Area
Responsible for assisting in the implementation and monitoring of Security Management for Gaza
Ensure safety, security and protection of World Vision staff and physical assets
Assist in minimizing personal and operational risk in World Vision Gaza programs and WV Gaza staff

Qualifications/Requirements:
-Bachelor degree in Social Sciences, Law, or security Management
-Certified in basic life support, preferably on paramedic level
-Minimum 5 years’ experience with UN/NGOs, at least 2 years in field security experience
-Direct personal experience of working successfully in hostile environments with broad understanding of the global security issues
-Excellent language skills in English (spoken and written) with good communication skills
-Detail oriented with good analytical skills
-Good team player and able to take independence of actions when required
-Proven ability to work under pressure displaying sound initiative and good judgement
-Commitment to achieving quality results and service
-Ability to communicate information and ideas effectively
-Ability to think clearly, deeply and broadly
-Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships and work cross culturally
-Demonstrated effectiveness in influencing individuals and groups
-Integrity and strong identification with World Vision’s Core Values
